Summary of case: The appellant had previously volunteered for service and was rejected. After then receiving calling up notice he was examined by the Medical Board at York and classified B.II. He suffers from varicose veins in both legs and lumbago. He then appealed under domestic grounds, his wife being very delicate and cannot work in the house. His son suffers with various medical problems and has undergone amputation of some of his limbs. Dr Bastable's certificate was to have been produced in support.
