Summary of case: ‘The employer of this man is 35 years of age and single, and he has in his employ at the present time, in addition to the above man a pork butcher about 42 years of age and a young man about 18 years old who is able to slaughter……I attach great importance to this claim as it is an attempt to break an arrangement made by the York Advisory Committee, and which I have gone into personally, and of which I think highly as a fair and reasonable compromise for the present time.’
