Summary of case: Marwood had been rejected on medical grounds in November 1915, but was called up again in September 1916, when he produced a certificate from his own doctor saying that he had been treated for heart disease for 12 years. The appeal was adjourned for a Special Medical examination, which found him fit (category A) and the appeal was dismissed. This further appeal by his wife was solely on the grounds that she was pregnant and expected to be confined about the end of March 1917.
