Summary of case: ‘This man is a farm worker at Gingerfield farm near Richmond. Previously a corporation foreman. The applicant has his wife to maintain and partly maintain his mother who is 66 and can do nothing. He visits her in Ripon every fortnight and stays the weekend with her. He has three brothers who are all in the army. The applicant’s wife is a somnambulist and in delicate health generally, she is not safe to be left in the house alone especially at night.
