Summary of case: The military representative stated 'That the advisory committee and local tribunal. With a full knowledge of the case decided this man should serve in which decision the agricultural representative concurred. He then got exemption to June 3rd 1916. A subsequent application was dismissed. This application to the N.R. Appeal Tribunal was also dismissed. He then went to the Central Tribunal who gave him until 14/12/16 being exempt under W.O.letter30 Sept 1916until January 1st 1917this notice was cancelled. War Office London has enquired why this man is not in the army and I have instructions from Headquarters Newcastle to appeal against this decision.' Letter from F. W. Hall Jan 13th 1917 , states 'this man received no exemption from this Tribunal to the 3rd June 1916 and the Agricultural Representative did not concur as no Ag. Rep. was appointed at that time.’
