Summary of case: Military representative stated that although this man was in a certified occupation this is no longer necessary in the national interest that he should remain in civil occupation as an official substitute can be found, and having passed for general service ought to serve. On 18 Apr 1917 Henry Hall wrote to the tribunal asking for a review of his case he regarded himself as exempt due to his age of '41yrs and eight months 'Mr Hall has sold his business at a loss leaving no motor bus running in the area. Mr Hall states that a younger man had obtained the same conditional exemption since then the younger man had given up his land and moved to take Mr Hall's trade leaving his own district without any motor bus, Mr Hall asked if he was 'over age now or not' so he could take up something useful in the way of national service or other occupation.
