Summary of case: In Feb 1916 he was deemed to be medically unfit. He applied for exemption in Sep 1916, presumably having recovered, and was given temporary exemption to Jan 1917 conditional on remaining in his current employment. In December 1916 he applied for further exemption as he was the only man available to work his own and his father's farms and the market garden / poultry business of a Mr Rowntree who was in Switzerland. He was also helping with two other farms. His application was rejected by the local tribunal but they ruled that he was not to be called up for two months from Jan 1917. He has applied again for a further exemption.
