Summary of case: This man is absolutely indispensable for a large government contract. The firm of Shepherds has been on the War Office list of contractors since before the war and it is thought that this would be a case for exemption on the grounds that they cannot manage without him. As he is a sawyer and these are on the list of exempted trades it is felt that he should have conditional exemption. He is also delicate and suffers with Bronchitis.
