Summary of case: Green states that James Casper is completely in charge of the York cold store as his time is occupied in looking after Doncaster and Scarborough. Mr Costello is experienced in the work more so than his sons who are serving in the army. There are also weekly administrative duties which necessitate the applicant working several hours each Sunday to complete the returns to the War Office. Under instigation of the War Office we undertook the collection of fat, bones etc from the 25 hospitals and billets in and around the City of York which we would have to throw up if Mr Costello leaves me.
