Summary of case: ‘I am appealing to the Central Tribunal [meaning the North Riding Appeal Tribunal] through being misled I expected I had to appeal four days before he was called up now I understand quiet clear I had to appeal 7 day after he got his calling up papers it was quiet ignorance on my part. I have 10 horses, 25 cattle, 80 sheep, and 15 pigs. I have 170 acre farm with 90 acres tillage and it lays 1 ½ miles away. We want a pair of horses in spring and I only have this man and a lad under age so that if he is taken there will be a lot of tillage unworked.’
