He states he would be quite happy to work on munitions locally as it would mean that he would be able to keep on his shops and not waste the stock he has in store. Local tribunal state that there are in fact eight shops in the local vicinity and a man of his age would be wasted working on munitions but would be of great value to the nation and the army.
