He stated that his extensive work in the city included the army, businesses and agriculture this included dairy men and local tradesmen in particular work on horse collars. He said that the business would have to close if he was enlisted and his wife would have to go into lodgings. The local tribunal stated that his business is only three years old, he has no children, previously time was given to him to enable him to make arrangements and that he would be able to apply in respect of his civil liabilities.
