Summary of case: The appellant stated that it was in the National Interest that he should remain in his present occupation and the local tribunal had previously granted a certificate for him to do so on the condition that he join the Voluntary Training Corps. However the military representative, Graham Craig appealed stating that Cooke was not complying with the conditions under which the exemption was granted viz to join the Voluntary Training Corps.
