Summary of Case: After being rejected on medical grounds in December 1915 he thought that he would not be called up, so he opened a shop in Redcar selling fishing tackle, oilskin clothing and fish dealing. He has no one to carry on the business and he is partly supporting his widowed mother. He has one brother in the army and he is willing to enter munitions work and asks for time to dispose of his stock and collect outstanding monies owning to him.
