Summary of case: Moon's employer Mr Theakston had appealed in the past on the grounds that Moon could not be replaced and was more help to the nation as a brewer, the firm having paid £7000 in duty in 1915. As a result Moon had been granted conditional exemption to Oct 1916 and the military representative was now appealing against this decision.
