Summary of case: Mr Critchley has a large farm and usually employs seven men, besides himself. The only employees remaining are Oxendale, for whom he cannot get a replacement, either a man or a woman, and a 15 year old boy. Critchley himself states he has a heart condition and is fit only for light work. On 31 May 1916, local tribunal had granted Oxendale an exemption until 1 Oct 1916. [See also NRCC/CL 9/1/680]
