The military representative appealed against this stating that the business J C Slater worked for has two sons engaged in the business. J C Slater in pre-war time was employed as foreman in carrying out work away from home. My advisory Committee inform me that this class of work has now ceased and also that there has been no overtime work in the joiner or wheel wright department of this firm.
