The days are long and tiring and I considered I was entitled on Wednesday afternoons or occasionally on a slack afternoon to take an hours fishing as I did within call of home, of course I cannot sell from my shop on Wednesday afternoons but we open again from 6 to 8.30. The military representative read an anonymous letter to the tribunal which grossly exaggerated my absence from home and he stated that some people had called at the office to report that I ought to be in the army.
