Summary of Case: Father is 61. His business is milk seller and farmer of a 34 acre farm. He is moving 6 Apr 1916 to a larger farm of 76 acres and intends to carry on in the milk trade. He states he could not undertake the work alone or with the help of a lad. He states he has a ‘defective’ daughter. The local tribunal were of the opinion that it was not in the national interest that he be retained in his present occupation and that the farm could be managed by him and a lad as the father was giving up the retail business and disposing of his milk wholesale.
