Summary of case: ‘The business is carried on at present by my wife, myself and two girls. The bulk of the buying falls to me and the others have not sufficient experience to qualify them to carry on this part of the business. Under these circumstances if I am called up for military service my business so far as I can see will have to be wound up, and this would involve me in very serious hardship as I should then have lost a living for myself and my wife which has taken nine years in the making.’
