Summary of case: Wrights father is the tenant of a small mixed farm. He is hired to work on a neighbouring farm until 23 Nov 1916 by Rev J L Kyle. John Wright has a brother aged 15 who is also hired onto another farm until 23 Nov 1916, after which he will be ‘at liberty to come home and release me.’ The only help he has on the farm is his mother and sister and they cannot manage by themselves.
