Summary of case: Sole worker in family business and sole support of elderly parents. He is the mainstay of the business. Of three sons the eldest are already in the army, joining in September 1914, in order to enable my youngest son to carry on the business
Besides slaughtering for ourselves, he also slaughters for Mr Best, Nelson Street, South Bank. He is enrolled as a Special Constable. [See also NRCC/CL 9/1/127]
