Summary of case: The appellant is head gardener of Constable Burton Hall. I am a married man with two children under six years of age and am 38 years old. I am Head Gardener for Mr M D Grey Wyvil with four and a half acres of vegetable garden and two and a half acres of cleared grounds. The only help is a boy of seventeen and two women labourers. Before the war I had three competent assistants.
