Summary of case: That it to the national interest that Bean should continue to be employed as at present an instructor in joinery and rifle shooting at Aysgarth School, Lord Kitchener in his letter to the Association of Preparatory Schools, as quoted in my appeal to Leyburn local tribunal, stated with regard to preparatory schools expressly whence boys pass out of public schools at 14 years old, and that the staff should not be depleted of men whose absence would adversely affect the work of those schools and the training of their boys as future members of the Officer Training Corps.
