Summary of case: I took over the management of my grandmother’s farm, her only livelihood, on the death of my brother in February 1915, as my grandmother is a helpless invalid. The farm is 29 acres with 12 head of cattle 70 sheep, with 50 lambs, and two horses. ‘As a lead miner I was totally exempt and I claim that my present occupation and position are such as to entitle me to conditional exemption. My grandmother cannot get rid of the farm until the spring of 1918.’
