Summary of case: ‘This man was granted conditional exemption by local tribunal. I applied for review, tribunal again granted conditional exemption against which I now appeal. This man is one of four brothers none of whom are serving. The father is a well to do farmer.’ One son is mentally deficient and unable to work on the farm. ‘Two other brothers are on farms of their own close by and could, and should assist the father. Much adverse comment has been made underhand on the fact that none of his family are serving.’
