Summary of case: Conditional exemption so long as I remain in my present capacity. I personally distribute foodstuffs (Tea) to over 260 retail shops weekly between Scarborough Bridlington inclusive, by medium of horse van claim that my work is necessitous. I beg to point out the futility of replacing a man like myself with a family of six children ages ranging from 15 years down to 2 years with in all probability a single man or married man with smaller family. My honest belief being I shall be doing for better service looking after the upbringing of my children, particularly as my wife is only in delicate health, being a sufferer from anaemia in doing the work of distributing foodstuff, I have undergone medical exam at Richmond, passed for garrison duty abroad, so conclude I am obviously unfit for fighting units.
