He had been before the Medical Board at Middlesbrough and been passed for service at home only and is willing to do work of national importance. Unable to attend the North Riding Appeal Tribunal and sent a letter. The decision of the local tribunal state. 'Immediately on this refusal this man applied on personal grounds. The only ground of any weight was that the wife was in the family way and it was not alleged that there were any unusual circumstances in connection with it. With allowance there would no undue financial hardship. There was no sufficient ground for a man of this age to be kept in civil life'.
