Summary of case: He is appealing for conditional exemption due to family issues. He has six brothers who are soldiers, four of them since the beginning of the war. He had previously been granted exemption he has been a market gardener helping his mother, as this is her only support. His mother is ‘practically a cripple with rheumatics and gout.’ His sister has been very ill and had to go to York hospital for an operation. He had to arrange for her transportation there.
