Summary of case: Six men already joined the forces, and two more may be called up at any time, making eight out of original staff of 16. Of those two medically unfit, two over age and one under age. We have replaced with female labour as far as possible, but in this case it is impossible for a woman to undertake the heavy work and look after three horses. We have not had any success in getting a man who is not eligible. Owing to weather we have not been able to get hay in.
