Summary of case: The local tribunal has failed to take into sufficient consideration the exceptional hardness of the case. That Mr Askwith promised exemption in the case of men who were the sole support of a widowed mother. That the local tribunal having already granted exemption in the case of schoolmasters where the needs of the school were not so pressing, or the hardship entailed not so great, the decision is unequal. The reasons of appeal to the higher tribunal are stated more fully on the attached paper.
