Appellant is the sole joiner, cartwright and undertaker in a parish with a population of more than 250. The chief occupation is agriculture, the nearest cartwright if he is taken away is two miles away and more than three miles away from some of the farmers reside. The appellant has over 300 people on his books. He also appeals on personal grounds that if he is taken for the Army he will lose his business absolutely. Established 34 years, his man joined the army six weeks ago. Appellant is tenant of seven acres of grass land and owns two cows, one stirk, two calves, and one pony, which would have to be sold at a loss and if called up he would still be liable for the rent and rates of land and dwelling house.
