Recites Francis Yeoman's demise of 19 Apr 1673 (see document Z.132/1). Shortly after making this indenture Francis Yeoman died and Ann Yeoman became entitled to the premises in Baxtergate, Whitby.

Ann Yeoman subsequently married James Best and at the time of his decease had by him one son and three daughters (William, Hannah, Ann and Ruth). James Best bequeathed to Ann in his will of 16 Mar 1714 the house in Baxtergate, Whitby, and after her death or remarriage to be divided equally between his children. James Best appointed his wife Ann and son William as executors, and William proved the will after the death of Ann.

Now, 1. to fulfill the will of James Best and for £130 paid to them by 2. assigns to 2. the said house in Baxtergate, Whitby, now in the occupation of Thomas Lightfoot for the remainder of the term of 500 years.
