With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 2 July 1867 of James McDonald otherwise called James McDonough for breaking into the dwelling house of John Thornton and stealing two coats, one vest, one pair of trousers, two handkerchiefs, three pairs of stockings and one concertina, the property of the said John Thornton, at the township of Forcett on 21 April 1867. McDonald/McDonough, who had a previous conviction for felony, was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Northallerton for twelve calendar months. Certificate dated 26 June 1882 |
