DescriptionBill of indictment of John Duncan on three counts of obtaining £1 10s from Joseph Richardson by falsely pretending to Tom Woodward then employed by Joseph Richardson and others in business in the township of Thornaby as shipbuilders under the name of Richardson Duck and Company that he (Duncan) had done ten days' work as a labourer on various dates in April besides what he had done as a plater's labourer on 4-6 April 9-13 April and 15-16 April

Offence committed at the township of Thornaby on 20 April 1872
