With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 5 January 1847 of Richard Scott late of the House of Correction at Northallerton labourer for stealing on 4 November 1846 two domesticated geese, the property of John Pearson; one hempen sack and one other sack, the property of Richard Barley the elder; and one hempen sack and one other sack, the property of Robert Proud, at the parish of Kirby Wiske. Scott was sentenced to hard labour for three calendar months. Certificate dated 5 January 1848
