Six inquests are listed:

- William Cuthbert. Inquest held at Clifton on 29 June 1842. Verdict: hung and strangled himself, not being of sound mind

- a female child unknown. Inquest held at St Olave, Marygate, York, on 30 June 1842. Verdict: died by the visitation of God

- Robert Herbert. Inquest held at Sandhutton on 16 July 1842. Verdict: died by the visitation of God

- James Kemp. Inquest held at Newton on Ouse on 30 August 1842. Verdict: died suddenly by the visitation of God

- George Thorpe. Inquest held at St Olave, Marygate, York, on 28 September 1840 [sic]. Verdict: accidentally burnt

- Ann Williams. Inquest held at Sheriff Hutton on 30 September 1842. Verdict: found dead, having died suddenly by the visitation of God
