Description | Bill of indictment of John Hutchinson late of the township of Startforth whitesmith and constable of the township of Startforth for allowing William Raine to escape from custody
On 11 July 1811 William Raine labourer was brought by John Hutchinson before a JP and charged with stealing one web of cloth belonging to Michael Kendall at the township of Cotherstone. Raine was to be taken by Hutchinson to the House of Correction at Northallerton
Offence committed at the township of Thorpe on 11 July 1811
