- Ann Robinson a gatherer of rags and a widow settled in the parish of All Saints North Street in the city of York. The young girl with her is her daughter Mary aged about 13 years

- John Houston a sailor without a pass. He was born in the Orkneys. The woman with him is Marianne his wife, but he does not know either his or her place of settlement

- George Fenley a sailor without a pass who does not know if he has any settlement

- Jane Wilson a widow who travels to earn her livelihood. She has no pass and believes that she is settled at Bishop Auckland in county Durham

- Elizabeth Wilkinson wife of Richard Wilkinson a chimney sweeper. She does not know his settlement and believes her maiden settlement was at Berwick

Elizabeth Wilkinson alias Harbottle wife of John Wilkinson. She does not know where he is or his place of settlement, and believes her settlement before marriage was at Whitby
