Jackson had brought a writ of alias capias out of the court of King's Bench against William Banks. Banks was served with the writ at the township of West Rounton for an offence against the Game Laws, in using a gun and a setting dog to take game. Jackson claimed that Banks owed him money in penalties and costs, but he owed Banks for 20 bushels of oats which Banks had sold him. Endorsed "A true bill"
