The quantities of corn returned may be a consideration in the inspector's salary, and it is noted that the returns of one inspector sometimes are over 3,000 quarters per week. The Act of 29 George III does not expressly repeal the Act of 10 George III s.39, but the Justices were of opinion at the last Sessions that it was implied that returns under the old Act would cease from the last Epiphany [Christmas] Sessions, and have refused to allow anything to the old inspectors since that time |
