DescriptionVagrant's examination of John Williamson. He is a mariner and about three weeks ago, he came by sea to Kingston upon Hull, and travelled on land to Whitby, then Guisborough. His wife Elizabeth and children John aged 4 years and James aged 2 years were with him. The constable at Guisborough gave him 6d for relief. He came to Stokesley yesterday, and demanded accommodation from the constable for himself and his wife and children. He has no pass to license him to travel in this way
