DescriptionBills of expenses for conveying vagrants from Stockton to their place of settlement. Includes:

- receipt dated 6 December 1781 for Thomas Roberson, apprehended as a vagrant in the parish of Grantham with the Soke in Lincolnshire, and ordered to be sent with a pass from Grantham to Whitby. The receipt was given to the constable of Stockton by William Jackson and Thomas Weatherell overseers of Whitby

- bill of expenses of Richard Letby for conveying Thomas Roberson with a pass from Stockton to his place of settlement at Whitby

- bill of expenses of Richard Letby for conveying Mary Jackson with a pass from Stockton to her place of settlement in Whitby

Both bills were allowed on 7 December 1781 and a receipt for the total amount was signed by Richard Letby on 22 December 1781
