Summary of case: This man is my only horseman and is indispensable if the farm is to be made to produce crops to its full capacity. I am growing between 7 and 8 acres of potatoes and about the same of turnips. This entails a great deal of labour the bulk of which has to be done by myself and this man. Carvey has a certificate from the War Agriculture Executive Committee which allows him the right to appeal against his conscription, number 46
