Summary of case: ‘That it is not in the national interests that this man aged 20 passed grade 2, and single should remain in his present civil employment as a motor driver and car repairer, especially in view of the fact that his employer who appealed for him is of military age and medical category A and is employing another man also of military age. The employer has two lads ages 16 and 17 respectively who could replace the youth in question in a very short time, or if not a man over military age or discharged or unfit man should be obtained.’
