Summary of case: Harris is a family man with one child and a wife in a delicate condition. He works as a dentist in York as well as assisting his 70 year old father with the mechanical side of dentistry in Malton. His four brothers had all joined the forces, and three had been wounded. He had made three previous appeals to the local tribunal in Malton in May 1916, Dec 1916 and July 1917. These were transferred to York local tribunal and in Sep 1917 were granted a further exemption to Feb 1918.
