Summary of case: In January I was granted an exemption until 31 July 1917 and now respectfully beg to apply for a further extension. I am a partner of the firm, I and J A Horner Builders. I suffer from Haemorrhoids and feel that I am quite unfit for military service as I cannot walk distances owing to the extreme pains caused by my condition (a medical certificate is enclosed) Under the circumstances I respectfully ask for a conditional exemption.
