Summary of case: Reginald Tinson is a qualified man working for a firm of chartered accountants. He was previously granted exemption because he was in a certified occupation. When accountancy was removed from the list of certified occupations, Tinson was no longer exempt. His employer appealed up to the Central Tribunal, but the appeal was refused, although Tinson was not to be called until 1 Aug 1917. In the meantime, a new list of certified occupations was published and accountancy was once again included. Pulleyn, Creer & Co applied once again, presenting this as new evidence.
