Summary of case: Local tribunal refused on grounds that the company had appealed on behalf of seven men in what is a reserved occupation. The tribunal made suggestions about reordering the work including postal arrangements and agents to release some of these men. The company appealed to the North Riding Appeal Tribunal on the grounds that this was not workable. Additionally he was responsible for feed stuffs for cattle and competitor's representatives in the area he covers [the Dales] had been conditionally exempted and he is passed for Field Service at home only.
